FAQ

Can I register myself as a voter at my local embassy?

Unfortunately, right now the only way for Malaysians to register as voters is to go back to your home country to do so. Here‘s how you can register back home.

  1. Take your IC and head to the nearest post office in Malaysia and say you want to be a voter
  2. Register and fill out the form, wait for about 3 – 6 months for your name to appear on the electoral roll.
  3. When the announcement for General Elections come up, go to the embassy to change your status from ordinary voter to overseas postal voter.
